- Wednesday June 7, 2017 This will co-incide with regular garbage pick up day. Please put out your spring clean up items, make sure branches are bundled neatly for convenient pick up. Speed Zone Change Notice
Please note that the speed zone has changed from 80 km/h to 100 km/h on Highway 13 throughout the section that intersects Hughenden.

The Village of Hughenden makes this Notice under Division 4 of the FOIP Act, Public Health and Safety.
“If anyone or their children that were exposed to the smoke from the December 30, 2016 fire are experiencing any recent or sudden health issues they should see their doctor and advise the doctor that hydrogen cyanide was detected in the smoke.”

Village of Hughenden 100th Anniversary 2017.
The Village of Hughenden will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary in 2017.
The celebration will be held during the August long week end – August 5, 6 & 7, 2017.
RV parking will be available at the end of McKenzie avenue.
Interested people can contact the Village Office at (780) 856 3830 and their names will be passed on to the Anniversary Committee for registration.
The Centennial committee is looking for pictures that tell the story of Hughenden’s history. These will be displayed during the Anniversary Celebration during the August long week end 2017. If you have pictures you would like to share, please provide a clear copy of the photo and leave at the Village Office or give to Myrna Swanson. Please include a brief write up about what is happening in the picture. Thank You.
